Capital Cheer began after Faye Norton graduating from Nottingham Trent University where she gained a 2:1 in Sport and Exercise Science. During this time Faye cheered for the Nottingham Trent Tigers for 3 years, where she first gained her coaching qualifications.
Faye started by teaching afterschool clubs and evening classes as capital cheer 6 years ago. After a few years Faye and her former captain Rosie Hase started Capital cheer All Stars at Bushloe High school on a Saturday morning. Over the years Capital cheer has gone from strength to strength and grown into an 8 squad programme. Rosie now lives and teaches in London and Faye teaches alongside April Hill and Katy Lee.
Faye is Level 1&2 USASF trained. Previously NCSSE level 1-4 trained plus masters level. DBS checked, first aid qualified, fully insured.
Faye is also training to be a level three teaching assistant at a local primary school, where she also teaches dance classes every afternoon to all the pupils.
April joined Faye at Capital cheer whilst dancing at Wigston School of Dance. Showing great interest and skill April began assistant coaching and in 2012 trained to coach. She is level NCSSE 1&2, DBS checked, fully insured.
